WHO ARE WE? OK & GO Rent is a light vehicle rental company based on Terceira Island, Azores. OK & GO Rent is committed to protecting the personal data of Customers/Users of products and services and the personal data of the respective holders in all situations in which personal data is processed by the company, having, in this context, prepared this Policy, which is based on its commitment to respect the rules for the protection of personal data.

WHY THIS PERSONAL DATA PROTECTION POLICY?

This Policy is intended to make Customers/Users aware of the general rules for the processing of personal data, which are collected and processed in strict respect and compliance with the provisions of the personal data protection legislation in force at any time, namely the Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 (“GDPR”).

WHAT TYPES OF PERSONAL DATA ARE PROCESSED?

OK & GO Rent, within the scope of its activities, processes the personal data necessary for the provision of services, processing data such as name, address, telephone number and email address, according to the more detailed information made available to holders of personal data. Without prejudice to compliance with legal rules relating to the conservation and transmission of data for the purposes of investigation, detection, repression of serious crimes, as well as other treatments to which it is legally obliged, traffic data, geographic location, profile and or consumption of the Client/Users will be handled by OK & GO Rent, insofar as they are necessary for the respective provision of services. In this way, based on location, profile and/or consumption, the Customer/User will have access, namely, to specific functionalities of the services, to content suggestions and to proximity information services. Location information may also be recorded and transmitted to organizations with legal competence to receive emergency calls, for the purpose of responding to incoming calls. Personal, traffic, geographic location, profile and/or consumption data are also processed for marketing purposes or dissemination of OK & GO Rent, if the respective owner has authorized it. If there is prior consent from the Client/User, this may be withdrawn at any time, without, however, compromising the lawfulness of the treatment carried out based on the previously given consent.

WHEN AND HOW DO WE COLLECT YOUR PERSONAL DATA?

OK & GO Rent collects your personal data, through its website and through the contact forms, guaranteeing, whenever necessary, the prior consent of the holder of the personal data. The personal data collected can be processed by computer and in an automated or non-automated way, guaranteeing in all cases strict compliance with the legislation on the protection of personal data, being stored in specific databases, created for this purpose and, under no circumstances, the data collected will be used for a purpose other than the one for which they were collected or given consent by the data subject.

HOW CAN YOU ACCESS, RECTIFY, UPDATE, LIMIT, DELETE, OPPOSITE THE TREATMENT OF YOUR PERSONAL DATA, OR REMOVE CONSENT? Without prejudice to the provisions of the RGPD, the holder of the personal data may do so, directly or upon written request, addressed to the respective Responsible for the treatment, through the contacts made available for this purpose in this document, as well as other contacts made available by OK &amp ; GO Rent.

HOW CAN YOU OBJECT RECEIVING CONTACTS FOR MARKETING PURPOSES?

OK & GO Rent may promote actions to disseminate new products or services to its Customers/Users, namely via telephone, e-mail, SMS, MMS or any other electronic communications service, if the holder of the personal data has given the respective consent. If the holder of personal data does not wish to continue receiving these communications, he may, at any time, withdraw his consent to the use of his data for marketing purposes.

Without prejudice to being able to submit complaints directly to OK & GO Rent, through the contacts made available for this purpose, the Customer/User can complain directly to the Control Authority, which is the National Data Protection Commission (CNPD), using the contacts made available by this entity for this purpose.

WHAT ARE THE MEASURES ADOPTED BY OK & GO Rent TO ENSURE THE SECURITY OF YOUR PERSONAL DATA?

OK & GO Rent is committed to guaranteeing the protection of the security of the personal data made available to it, having approved and implemented strict rules in this matter. Compliance with these rules is an obligation for all those who legally access them. Bearing in mind the concern and commitment that OK & GO Rent reveals in the defense of personal data, several security measures were adopted, of a technical and organizational nature, in order to protect the personal data made available to it against its dissemination, loss, misuse, alteration, treatment or unauthorized access , as well as against any other form of unlawful treatment. In this sense, on the OK & GO Rent, personal data collection forms require encrypted Browser sessions and all personal data provided is stored securely in OK & GO Rent which, in turn, are located on a PTISP server, covered by all the physical and logical security measures essential to the protection of personal data. Notwithstanding the security measures adopted by OK & GO Rent, a OK & GO Rent warns all those who surf the Internet that they must adopt additional security measures, namely, ensure that they use a PC and a Browser updated in terms of properly configured security “patches”, with an active firewall, antivirus and anti-spyware and ensure the authenticity of the sites they visit on the internet, and should avoid websites whose reputation they do not trust.
